Well, finally took the time to start listing some of my glass projects on Etsy...but I have no idea what to price the pieces at - thinking I may be pricing them a bit low for the work and materials involved but shipping in Canada is so darn expensive, I don't want to scare people off with too high of prices. Focusing on getting some smaller mosaic pieces done and putting some watercolours up tomorrow.

How to photograph stained glass???
Tried doing some photos of some of my new pieces but it's tough. The solder looks dark instead of silver. Need to check out some tips online I think.

summer plans beginning to be hammered out
Wow. Had a great skype interview with an organic farm owner in Stratford area. So excited about this opportunity for the two of us to work together being mentored by a seasoned farmer. Gotta hit the treadmill to get in better shape and figure out where Gertie will go for "summer camp" since she can't come unless she wants to be lunch for the dog. Hoping a ferret-knowledgable person can babysit her. At least we have several months to figure it all out.

New grinder head
What a difference a new grinder head makes..but boy did I let it go. That will not happen again...it was so seized on I couldn't budge it. But luckily some web searching and a trip to canadian tire for WD40 and a gear puller did the trick. Finished 3 sun catchers and cut out a few more. Gonna see how many I can get done in a day.

Sore muscles = pounds of glass
Trekked my way to Fantasy in Glass and found some great glass squares (21 of them!) to start going crazy, but need to stay focused and do one project at a time. So many ideas though. First off, need to move the studio space in the basement away from the furnace - too noisy and dry. My muscles are sore from lugging the glass home, but my ideas and ambition are endless. Hope it stays.

Brrrrrr
Crazy cold today - feels like we have been transported back up north. Worked away reorganizing my studio space in the basement and learned some better soldering tips. You-tube is a wonder of crazy cat videos and informational videos from around the world.
Thinking about studio names and business card designs.
Can't wait for the milder temps....

A focused New Year
Today marks the official first day of my adventures in actually pursing producing artwork to sell rather than just giving it all away to family and friends. Super excited about this adventure and looking forward to a supply trip to Fantasy in Glass later this week. So many ideas bubbling away, and such a nice treat to start focusing full speed ahead on creating an inventory. Hoping to have enough to feel confident getting on Etsy by the end of February.
